Wedding season is upon us! Here are a few wedding trends we cannot wait to see this year.
Pantone’s Color of 2016: Rose Quartz and Serenity
Every year Pantone announces the hottest colors that will be capturing everyone’s eye. This year we’re lucky enough to have two. Rose Quartz falls in the blush family, which is a very popular color for weddings. It works well with almost any other color and is sweet and romantic. Serenity is a soft, light blue that brings peace and calm. This is wonderful color to keep everyone zen, since we know weddings can be stressful. Paired together these colors compliment each other perfectly.
The Two-in-One Dress
If you want a different look for your reception then opt for a two-in-one dress! You can still have a glamorous long train or full ballgown. After your nuptials you can remove the skirt and your dress turns into a fun little number you can dance the night away in!
Wedding Concierge Professionals
We’re not talking about the wedding planners, photographers, florists, etc. (They are not a trend, they are classics and must have wedding pros) We’re talking about professionals who offer something very unique like for-hire bridesmaids or a Social Media Concierge.
If you are big into social media then you might look into a Social Media Concierge. They will create a hashtag unique to your event, make sure your guests know the hashtag and get photos posted to Instagram, Facebook, etc. during your wedding. They will also post photos to your accounts for you during the festivities and will even create a recap using Shutterfly. Like a regular bridesmaid, a Bridesmaid For-Hire will be there for you when you need advice about your dress, to vent if things get stressful and be your personal assistant to make sure your wedding to-dos get checked off. You can absolutely still have all of your best friends be a part of your big day but the for-hire bridesmaid can be there 24/7 if your gals are busy juggling other things.
Details, Details, Details
Total personalization is taking center stage recently. Every couple can personalize their entire wedding from ceremony to send off. There are unlimited options when it comes to decor, colors, styles, themes. You name it, you can add your own touch to it. Couples want their guests to have a fun experience, not just attend a wedding.
Produce & Petals
We’re seeing a surge in adding fruits and veggies to floral elements like bouquets and centerpieces. This adds a pop of color and some different texture than a bouquet of all flowers.
Sparkle, Shimmer, Shine
Metallics are a hit at weddings. Whether you use it subtly or make it a statement color, metallics can be incorporated into your big day. Wear a pair of gold glitter heels or have blush colored sparkly table runners. These always add a fun element to your decor.
Copper is making a big debut in weddings this year. From cups to chairs to stationary this fun metallic neutral is making a statement. Copper pairs well with many color palettes and many themes which makes it perfect for an accent color.
Adding to the guest experience, many couples are choosing long banquet style tables for their receptions. This means that everyone can sit at the same table, creating a conversation space. Or mix and match your tables. Have some banquet, some round and some square.
